Sea Star Software announces the release of Article Extracts 2.0.
Now with image support and enhanced module configuration options. Create professional looking links to pages within your web portal. This modules give you the capability of displaying headlines, extracts (summaries), of articles and news residing inside their current DotNetNuke web portals within text/HTML modules.
Each summary has optional displays for title, author, date and number of words to display for summaries. Administrators can choose the layout for the extracts in several row and column configurations - NOW up to 30 extracts per module (up to 10 rows X 3 columns are available). Maintain the existing look and feel of your web portal with our style sheet provided within the module installation. No programming or database knowledge is required.

The following articles are samples of output based on parameters entered during setup.
After installing the module and adding it to a page on your website, simply configure the settings as shown.
Verify the Number of Words box (this is the number of words to be displayed for each article)
Check the box next to Show Title (this is the option to show the article title)
Check the box next to Show Title as Link (this is the option to display the title as a link to the article)
Check the box next to Show Author (this is the option to display the article author)
Check the box next to Show Date (this is the option to display the date the article was created)
Verify the Read More Text box (enter the link text that will allow users to navigate to the page containing the article i.e. Learn More…,Read More, Click Here for More, Link to Article)
Attach to Article Body option appends the Read More text to the article text instead of puting it on a new line.
Verify the Layout option (select a layout in which to display the Article Extracts, this will update the Select Articles section below) Available options include: You may have up to 10 Row and 3 Columns for a total of 30 extracts per module if needed.
Finally, Use the Select Articles area to select the pages and articles that page you want to display. If you are using images select the foler and image name or upload new images.
Select the Update link to save the changes and return to the page.
